Eligibility for Participation:

Divisions of the Tournament
- Middle School: A middle school student is one who: has not been promoted to a secondary institution (grades 9-12) prior to the tournament. They must be in grades 6-8.
- Secondary: The Secondary Division shall be composed of secondary students at the junior high (9th grade) or high school level (9th – 12th).
- Postsecondary/Collegiate: The Postsecondary/Collegiate Division shall be composed of undergraduate students who (a) are enrolled in a state-approved postsecondary program at the community college level or college level program; (b) have received a high-school diploma (or its equivalent).
Rules and Regulations:
- Substitutions: A team event must include at least 25% of the members who were on the winning team at their state HOSA or other qualifying tournament. Other “qualified” students may be substituted or added in the remaining team positions so that the number of team members is consistent with the rules for the tournament. Students who did not qualify for any tournament may also be added as well.
- Late Arrivals: All teams must be at their designated tournament time. If you cannot make your scheduled time please let an Anatomage Employee who is running that tournament know. If you miss your scheduled testing time and do not let an Anatomage Employee know, you may or may not be able to be accommodated.
- Minimum Team Members: Teams may not compete with less than 3 team members. If you choose to compete with only two members, you do not qualify for prizes or the National Anatomage Tournament.
- Participation Rounds: If a team member misses round one of competition, and the team advances to the next rounds of the tournament, the missing team member cannot compete in the next rounds. Only team members who participated in the preliminary rounds are allowed to participate in the next advancing rounds.
- Personal Articles: Teams will be asked to place personal articles (purses, bags) away from the Anatomage table while testing. They may not obtain anything from their personal article until the test is fully completed. Anatomage Employees are not responsible for the team’s personal items.
- Study Materials: NO Study Materials are allowed in the Anatomage Tournament testing area.
- Observers: Observers are welcome to watch their students compete. Observers must also adhere to Anatomage’s rules and regulations while observing. If a student who is also testing would like to observe they are only allowed to observe after they have taken their test and must not discuss the test. ALL observers must remain silent and must NOT hint at any answers while students are taking their test.
Ethics:
- Must be registered for an Anatomage Tournament.
- Must have an appointment with Anatomage to compete.
- Appointment times are only scheduled via Acuity or scheduled by an Anatomage employee.
- At an Anatomage Tournament, teams should follow the tournament rules and act with integrity at all times. Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage will not be tolerated. Violation of the ethics rules can result in a disqualification.
- Any team who is caught cheating will be immediately disqualified.
- Teams must respect the team size rule of 3-4 students ONLY. No exceptions.
Fairplay and Team Etiquette:
All teams are expected to treat all competitors and spectators with respect and maintain a positive, sportsmanlike attitude at all times. Rude or disruptive behavior, including any form of disrespect or hostility, will not be tolerated. Any violation of this conduct policy may result in disqualification from the competition. Our goal is to keep the environment enjoyable and fair for everyone involved.

Complete Tournament Round Quiz by identifying anatomy structures by name and identifying anatomy structures by their main description/function.
Every team is registered for a preliminary tournament round and each round will consist of: An Introduction to the Anatomage Table, Practice Rounds, Tournament Round Quiz.
Teams will compete in a series of rounds (Preliminary Rounds → Top 8 → Top 4 & Championship Round) where teams with the highest score will advance from the preliminary round in the Tournament bracket. The top 8 teams will be placed into a tournament bracket where each round will be a head to head competition. The team with the highest score between the two teams competing will move on to the following round until the last team standing is crowned the Anatomage Champions!

- Bones, bony landmarks, and ligaments
- Muscular System
- Digestive System
- Respiratory System
- Urinary System
- Endocrine/Exocrine System
- Heart and major blood vessels
- Brain, spinal cord, and major nerves
Scoring:
During the quiz, all tested structures will be visible superficially, so you will not need to remove structures, but you may need to rotate or zoom in on the cadaver to locate the answer. Quiz questions can include any of the following topics:
- Each correct answer will earn 10 points
- Each incorrect answer will result in a -1 point deduction
- Each skipped question will result in 0 points – no penalty
(Skipped Questions will return at the end of the Quiz)

- Top 8: 30 questions – 6 minutes
- Top 4: 30 questions – 6 minutes
- Finals: 35 questions – 7 minutes
